DC DMV Appointment

Welcome to DC DMV Appointment Scheduling. During Mayor Bowser’s Phase 2 Re-Opening Plan in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), all DMV Service Centers, Adjudication Services, and the Brentwood CDL Office will be open starting Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

To make an appointment at the above locations, click "Make an appointment".

DC Driver License and ID Cards, Vehicle Registrations and Inspections that expired on or after March 1, 2020, are valid until at least 45 days after the end of the public health emergency and out-of-state credentials also have extensions.

The Inspection Station will operate on a first come, first serve basis (no appointment required) with modified hours and the Self-Service Emissions Inspection Kiosk will be open with 24/7 access through Phase 2 of the District’s Re-Opening Plan. DC DMV has more than 55 online services, enabling customers to “skip the in-person trip.” If you want to make a new appointment, click on the button "Make an appointment". Then read through and acknowledge the terms and conditions for storage of personal data on the next page. Without doing so, you can not create a new appointment.

If you have previously scheduled an appointment, please click on “Edit Appointment” to schedule a new date and time based on current availability.

Firefox or Google Chrome web browsers are recommended to schedule or edit appointments.
